The location is magnificent and good in a natural area, close enough to the Seven Sisters white cliffs as well as England. The Beehive on the Green with coffee & goodies is 100 metres walk away.

The double room featured a private bathroom, a plus for couples looking for some privacy. The charming decor adds a quaint vibe that many might find appealing, showcasing character that you've got to appreciate.

Single glazing in the bedroom made for a chilly atmosphere in cold weather, with misty windows and noticeable drafts sneaking under the door. Common areas felt frigid despite a stove burning nearby, and if you're not fond of steep stairs, you might find the climb a bit challenging. The price felt steep for the small size of the room, especially as a solo traveler, and the fading decor leaned more toward shabby than chic. If you're sensitive to noise, sitting outside might not be ideal since conversations drift in easily, and good luck with the tricky door lock.

    cozy room
    overpriced room
    shabby decor

Cozy room with a lovely view.

The room I paid £195 for was ridiculously small for a solo traveler and felt more like a closet than a double room. To make matters worse, the decor was faded and shabby, not at all what I expected for that price. The noise from outside was unbearable, and I couldn't even open the windows for fresh air! It was a frustrating experience and not worth the cost.

    worn down decor

The room was cozy, and I loved enjoying tea on the terrace while soaking in that beautiful sunset. Relaxing by the fireplace and taking advantage of the hot tub made for some serious chill time. the decor felt a bit worn down, which was a small letdown but didn't ruin my stay. 🌅

I enjoyed a two-night stay in a beautifully decorated room with a view of the green. The hearty breakfast featured fresh ingredients, and the quaint atmosphere perfectly complemented my walking adventures in the area. I did find the stairs a bit steep, but it didn't affect my experience.
